The Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate at the University of Notre Dame seeks applicants for a teaching faculty (non-tenure-track) position in real estate finance and related fields. Candidates who have demonstrated excellence or the potential for excellence in teaching and/or research in real estate may be considered for a position as an assistant/associate/full teaching professor. Teaching faculty positions are fixed-term but with an expectation of renewal conditional on demonstrated effectiveness in teaching and other criteria for renewal or promotion. This position also could be filled on a temporary basis with a two-year visiting assistant professor. In addition to teaching multiple real estate courses at the undergraduate and/or graduate/MBA level, the position will include time for research and scholarly development.
We encourage applications from candidates whose teaching and research interests would support the work of the Fitzgerald Institute for Real Estate, a University center focused on the study of real estate. Building upon Notre Dame's world-class faculty, global alumni network, and distinctive Catholic mission, the Fitzgerald Institute is an ambitious interdisciplinary initiative that brings together faculty, students, and alumni from a number of colleges and schools, including the Mendoza College of Business, College of Arts & Letters, School of Architecture, College of Engineering, and Law School. The Institute supports both teaching and research in real estate by, among other things, hosting academic conferences and industry events, offering an undergraduate minor in Real Estate (in partnership with the Department of Finance), and providing data and other resources to promote faculty research.Qualifications:
