The Department of Computer Science at Purdue Fort Wayne invites applications for a visiting position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall semester 2021. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Information Systems are encouraged to apply. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in Information Systems, Computer Systems, Intelligent Systems, Informatics, Data Science, and the Internet of Things. Duties include teaching 12 credit hours or the equivalent per semester of Information Systems and Computer Science courses and pursuing scholarly endeavors.
PFW is the largest university in northeast Indiana. The Computer Science department has 10 tenured and tenure-track faculty and two fulltime lecturers, and about 400 students in four different undergraduate and graduate programs. The Department is ABET-accredited in Computer Science.Requirements
Requirements for the position are: hold a Ph.D. in Information Systems or closely related field by the beginning of the 2021 fall semester; a strong record of teaching and research missions aligned with the Department; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and an interest in working with students and collaborating with the business community.Review of Applications
