The D'Youville College School of Nursing isseeking an outstanding candidate to join ourfaculty as Director of the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program and to provide excel Jenee in theareas of teaching, service and scholarly activity. The Director of the Psychiatric Mental Health nurse Practitioner program is expected to collaborate with the School of Nursing Dean and Chair for Graduate Nursing to provide leadership and guidance to a diverse strident and faculty body. In addition, all faculty members in the School of Nursing are primarily responsible for the implementation of educational programs through classroom teaching, lab instruction, and clinical supervision. Individuals hired into Clinical and Tenure track positions within the School of Nursing are expected to be able to teach in any of these capacities.
Class room instruction includes a variety of teaching/learningstrategies directed at meeting student individual learningstyles and includes but is not limited to lecture, lab teaching, on-line andhybrid instruction. Clinical supervision includes guiding students to deliverquality nursing care in a variety of health care settings. Additionalrequirements include committee work , service and scholarlyactivity.
Regular activities include advisement Psychiatric Mental Health NursePractitioner students, monitoring and completion of data foraccreditation of the program, mentoring students, serving on departmental and college committees, and engagement in communityservice opportunities.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a Master's in Nursing degree from a CCNE accreditedinstitution, and have an active, unencumbered licensed as a Psychiatric MentalHealth Nurse Practitioner in the state of New York. Doctoral degree (forexample PhD, EdD, DNP) preferred. National certification in the field ofspecialty is also required for this position.

Acceptable Education andExperience
A minimum of a Master's of Science degree in Nursing is required for aclinical track appointment. A minimum of a doctoral degree in nursing or arelated field is required for a tenure track appointment. An unencumberedlicense that is currently registered in the State of New York or eligibilityfor licensure is required. For an assignment to provide instruction in theNurse Practitioner Masters and DNP programs, faculty must have licensure as anurse practitioner from New York State and have national certification as anurse practitioner in an appropriate specialty area. At least five years ofclinical nursing practice is required for appointment to either theundergraduate or graduate programs.
