Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program, Assistant Professor, Tenure Track
Gannon University's Occupational Therapy Doctorate program located at the Ruskin, Florida campus seeks a 12-month, tenure track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin August 23, 2021. Gannon University faculty work collaboratively with colleagues, deliver instruction, advise students, engage in scholarship, and participate in service. Faculty are expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon. Preference for this position will be given to candidates with clinical and teaching experience in physical disabilities and neurology/neuro-rehabilitative techniques. Experience in research and supervising capstone projects and doctoral student experiences is also preferred.
Qualified candidates are required to have an earned doctoral degree (e.g., Ph.D., Ed.D., D.H.S., D.Sc., O.T.D.) granted by an institution accredited by a U.S. Department of Education-recognized regional accrediting body and 5 to 7 years of clinical experience. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in Florida as an Occupational Therapist is required; NBCOT certification or eligibility for certification is required. Candidates who are able to provide evidence of teaching effectiveness (2 years or more) and scholarship in higher education are preferred. Ideally, candidates will have experience using course management systems for purposes of instruction and advising. We seek candidates with effective interpersonal and written and oral communication skills, and examples of constructive teamwork. Candidates must be able to support and promote the University's inclusive Mission, its Catholic identity, and its liberal arts and professional education traditions.
