Department Marketing Statement
Academic Inquiry and Scholarship (AIS) is a core curriculum course required for all first-time freshmen and students entering the university with less than 30 hours. In the course, students have the opportunity to build and enhance the fundamental skills necessary for success in college, explore majors related to their interests, and engage in career exploration consistent with their professional goals.

Responsibilities
Lecturer would teach multiple sections of a freshman level common course, Academic Inquiry and Scholarship (AIS 1203): Engineering, Mathematics and Science (EMS) and perform university related service.

Salary
$37,000-$40,000/based on a 9 month contract.

Required Qualifications
Assistant Professor of Instruction:

Terminal degree in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.

Assistant Professor of Practice:

Master's degree in Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biomedical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.

Three years of teaching experience at an institution of higher education and demonstrated high levels of teaching performance as indicated by a formal review

Preferred Qualifications
Assistant Professor of Instruction:

Teaching experience at an institution of higher education and demonstrated high levels of teaching performance as indicated by a formal review

Additional Information
Anticipated hire date: Fall 2021 with a one-year renewable contract. The hiring department will classify this position as Assistant Professor of Instruction or Assistant Professor of Practice based on the qualifications of the finalist
