The University of Southern Maine integrated health and counseling services unit seeks applicants for the full-time position of Director of Health Services.
The Health Services Director is responsible for Health Services operations ensuring high quality, evidence-based delivery of primary health care and public health services (immunization compliance, testing/vaccines, case investigations and contact tracing) to the USM campus community. The Director creates meaningful relationships with students, staff, colleagues, campus programs (notably the School of Nursing, Department of Athletics and Athletic Healthcare, and the Student Affairs Behavioral Intervention/Assistance and Care Teams), and community partners. The Director provides leadership and clinical supervision for all Health professional staff, trainees, and graduate assistants, and helps to ensure continuity of care with the wider community. The Director sets priorities, establishes annual programmatic goals, and develops policy and procedure to ensure quality health care for USM students. This position provides consultation to staff and faculty regarding health issues in the USM community. This position also provides direct clinical services to an increasingly diverse student body of around 7000 students that includes residential, commuter, first gen, non-traditional, undergraduate, graduate, and professional students.
