Assistant Teaching Professor Position in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
Syracuse University’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (http://eecs.syr.edu) in the College of Engineering and Computer Science (https://eng-cs.syr.edu) invites applicants for an assistant teaching professor position who are committed to inclusive excellence and innovative teaching.
The position seeks candidates who will teach the electrical and computer engineering undergraduate laboratories. These lab classes include circuits, systems, digital logic, FPGAs and microcontrollers, embedded systems, DSP, and controls. The faculty should also be able to teach relevant core courses or mentor student projects. A successful faculty will support undergraduate students in their laboratory and design efforts through teaching relevant courses, managing the lab, and providing guidance.
Faculty hired in the position will be an integral part of the EECS department through curriculum design, innovation in education, teaching, and service.
Qualiﬁcations & Responsibilities
A doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline is strongly preferred. Candidates with an MS degree and excellent teaching experience can apply. Experience teaching hands-on and/or project-based courses is also desired.
