Position Summary:
The Division Director is responsible for planning and overseeing the extensive student-facing and curricular activities of an assigned division/campus and its operational functions within the Clinical Education Network; with multiple internal and external partners to assess, acquire, maintain and ensure seamless and consistent delivery of clinical education (curriculum, which encompasses clinical environment) to students. Responsible for developing, advancing and measuring the impact of clinical initiatives as they relate to students and curriculum.

Primary Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the coordination of Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine quality-directed student educational programming and satisfactory student progress toward meeting curricular requirements: recommend action regarding students with professional and/or academic difficulties, provide strategic direction for clinical education programming for all students, including orientation and didactics; develop strategic initiatives; advise and counsel students.
2. Responsible for leading, planning, and directing the programs and operations of the specified division in accordance with OHIO and Heritage College policies. Supervise, train, and evaluate administrative (including subordinate managers) and classified staff. Formulates policies to ensure processes are streamlined and effectively operating with internal and external partners; facilitate ongoing communication with all constituents.
3. Develop and manage budget and business plans for the division in collaboration with the other divisions and the system as a whole.
4. Contribute to the operational plans of Clinical Education. Collect and analyze data to set strategies and objectives that align with the overall strategy of the college and university. Create a culture of consistency and accountability with ownership of ongoing functions that include System Solutions, Calendars and Timelines, Communication Plans, Professional Development, and Process Improvement.
5. Advise and collaborate with Heritage College senior leadership regarding the development, communication and implementation of the college's vision and plan. Negotiate with key stakeholders to develop relationships with administrators and physicians to establish, recruit and expand placement opportunities for Heritage College students so that they can meet curricular requirements for graduation. Maintain and facilitate existing relationships with preceptors and hospitals, healthcare centers and other service delivery points.


Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree in health, education or related field.
An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of the master's degree requirement.
6 years of work related experience
3 years of supervisory or managerial responsibilities
Strong communication skills both written and verbal working with internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
8 years of work related experience
5 years of supervisory or managerial responsibilities
