Carroll University seeks an Adjunct Instructor of Physical Therapy for the Fall 2026 semester. The Department of Physical Therapy in the College of Health Sciences offers a Doctor of Physical Therapy.
Course: PTH5405 Introduction to Patient Management Lab
Time/Days: Wednesday, 8:00AM-11:20AM & 11:30AM-2:50PM
Brief Course Description: This course introduces the nervous system and how behavior is produced from cellular changes in the brain. The class will focus on understanding the fundamental anatomy and physiology involved in the pathways that connect neural activity with coordinated muscle movement. We will also cover relevant embryology, higher cognitive functions, and disease states.
Course: PTH5422: Clinical Anatomy Palpation Lab
Time/Days: Wednesday, 9:00AM-10:50AM & 12:00PM-1:50PM
Brief Course Description:
This course presents a comprehensive consideration of human anatomy including both neuromusculoskeletal components and internal organ systems. Systems include musculoskeletal, neurological, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, skeletal, and cardiopulmonary. Biomechanical function, topographic and radiographic correlations, and clinical applications are emphasized. In-depth understanding of the gross anatomy of the human body is obtained through lecture, audiovisual, computer, and gross cadaver prosecution. Introductory mapping and palpation exercises will also be integrated into this course.
Qualifications: Doctorate or Master of Physical Therapy. Official transcripts due upon hire.

The College: The College of Health Sciences offers undergraduate and graduate programs through seven departments; Public Health, Athletic Training, Physician Assistant Studies, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Nursing, and Department of Movement Sciences. The College of Health Sciences currently accounts for ~60% of university enrollment. A dynamic and growing entity, College-wide foci include interprofessional education and practice, the integrated approach to health, innovative learning and healthcare technologies, community partnerships and service to medically underserved populations. To support these initiatives the University has renovated a medical arts building to house and support its service learning and Community Health Service programs and partnered with the Waukesha Free Clinic at Carroll University. The College supports the interdisciplinary nature of health science education and has received federal and private foundation grant awards to support these, as well as program-specific initiatives. The Pioneer Core general education curriculum has a strong emphasis on developing intercultural awareness, including cross-cultural immersion experiences.
