The Manager of Finance and Business Operations, PSC Foundation is a full-time professional/managerial position. The Manager is responsible for the daily financial operations of the Foundation including daily entries into financial accounting software, the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, and developing the appropriate internal control procedures to encourage the effective and efficient operations with governing laws and/or regulations. Additionally, the Manager will manage the monthly and year-end closings including analysis and verification of assets, revenues, expenses, and fund balances; manage the Foundation budget; ensure all accounts and funds are analyzed and reconciled and discrepancies are corrected; ensure financial activities comply with GAAP, GASB, CASE, and Foundation policies and procedures; supervise, review, and prepare financial analysis and reports required for internal reporting and external auditing; adhere to and implement policies and procedures for gift receipt and management; maintain donor confidentiality policies and procedures; and supervise database staff and contract employees in their ethical and accurate fulfillment of their duties. Additionally, the Manager serves as the business manager overseeing fee-based income and vendor relationships in regards to rental properties and dormitories. In order to be successful in this position, the Manager of Finance and Business Operations must have knowledge of non-profit, governmental and fund accounting; accounting and operational issues that affect restricted gifts and grants; high level management, planning, and coordination skills; ability to effectively present information; and supervisory experience. This position reports to the Executive Director, Institutional Development and to the Vice President, Business Affairs for financial and accounting technical matters.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a regionally accredited institution with a master’s degree in accounting or closely related field and three years progressively responsible work experience in the accounting field; or a bachelor’s degree in accounting and five years progressively responsible work experience in the accounting field. Supervisory and budgeting experience necessary. Successful results of a criminal background check are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Non-profit Accounting Professional (CNAP); higher education and/or non-profit accounting experience; and experience with software for fiscal and related management applications.
SALARY RANGE: $42,230.00 - $60,255.00 (Depending on the qualifications, the salary is negotiable. However, the college does not generally hire at the top of the range.)
