Admissions Counselor, Online Campus

Adler University is a value-centered and growing institution that is seeking an Admissions Counselor to join the Office of Admissions. This position reports to the Director of Admissions assisting with all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process. The primary responsibilities of an Admissions Counselor include: Respond to admissions inquiries via phone and email; respond to applicants regarding their application and materials submitted; represent Adler University at on-campus and online events as well as off-campus recruiting events such as college fairs and conferences; giving campus tours; and advising applicants.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related discipline required. Master's degree in Business Administration or related discipline preferred.
• Minimum one (1) year progressive Admissions or higher education or sales environment. Experience in graduate admissions preferred.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving acumen
• Ability to demonstrate cross-cultural interpersonal skills; professional and friendly in-person, virtually, and on the phone
• Strong collaboration acumen and abilities
• Excellent communication skills, extremely well-organized, demonstrated leadership potential, and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Demonstration of success in a goal-oriented environment
• Proficient and functional knowledge of MS Office (Work, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
• Strong research acumen and abilities
• Strong communication acumen including written, oral, and listening

Principal Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process
• Tele-counsel with prospective students to encourage campus visits as well as apply for admission
• Maintain a high call volume schedule to consistently meet performance goals
• Maintain appropriate follow-up communication with these students regarding the status of their applications for admission and financial aid.
• Represent Adler University during recruitment season at off-campus events such as college fairs, conferences and classroom visits
• Represent Adler University at on-campus and online open houses, information sessions, individual advisement sessions and interview days
• Perform consistently to meet performance goals
• Advise applicants throughout their admission process from inquiry through registration and the first day of classes.
• Maintains full knowledge of Adler University's institutes, programs and curricula
• All other duties as assigned by the Associate Director and Director of Admissions.

COVID-19 considerations: The health and safety of our staff/faculty and their families, as well as our stakeholders, potential candidates, and the communities we serve, are of the utmost importance. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this role will temporarily be performed remotely. The successful candidate will train and work from home until such time as it is determined that role will return to the campus full-time.
