Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $138,000.00 Annually
Maximum $145,000.00 Annually

Job Summary

  • Responsible for assisting in the establishment of curriculum, subject matter and methods of instruction and those aspects of student life which relate to the educational process.
  • Promote, by precept and example, a general atmosphere within the College of respect for knowledge thought, and inquiry.
  • The faculty member has the right and obligation to participate in scheduled meetings of the General Faculty. Election to the Faculty Senate and election or appointment to committees should be considered a privilege and faculty members are encouraged to share in these responsibilities.
  • Contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of courses and academic programs within the College.
  • Responsible for establishing clerkship rotations and serving as preceptor for Pharm.D. Students.
  • Conduct/participate in pharmacy practice research endeavors.
  • Support the organizational goals and objectives of the College of Pharmacy and Western University of Health Sciences.

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that he/she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:

  • Expertise in the area of Social and Administrative Sciences.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both with groups and individuals.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of all backgrounds, including students, administration, faculty and staff.
  • Ability to handle detail-oriented assignments and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle a wide range of responsibilities in the college environment.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.


Required Qualifications

Education:
  • Pharm.D. degree, or Ph.D. degree in an appropriate discipline

 


Experience:


  • Consistent with current College promotion and tenure documents.


Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to those individuals possessing experience in teaching and/or research; publications; and presentations.
