Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Associate Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of strategic planning, program development and evaluation, leadership development, and mentoring. Applicants must have outstanding qualifications in clinical care and education. Applicants must have an M.D or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Board certified or board eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, residents, and fellows in psychiatry, psychology, social work, and nursing. Interprofessional training and educating the next generation of child mental health professionals and leaders is a priority for the Division.
Clinical responsibilities may include assessment and treatment services to children and families, in inpatient and outpatient settings. Experience providing Mental Health services in community-based settings is strongly preferred.

The Division of Community Care and Wellness is a rapidly growing division dedicated to promoting equity in access to and delivery of evidence-based behavioral health services and advancing innovations in health care. The division supports numerous initiatives including integrated services in primary care and school-based services to improve access to behavioral health care. The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to collaborate and partner effectively with psychiatry and psychology faculty and clinicians across multiple disciplines. The position requires the ability to forge strategic partnerships with community-based agencies, policy leaders at a local and state level, and faculty and administrators at CHOP and the University of Pennsylvania.
The Physician Chief reports to the Chair of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and works closely with the other Division Chiefs, the Vice Chair for Administration, and Associate Chairs. Division Chiefs are appointed faculty in the Department of Psychiatry in Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
