Position Announcement

In this role, faculty members teach undergraduate and graduate courses and seminars while designing and delivering curricula that are thoughtfully planned and have clear, measurable learning outcomes. You will have opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, mentor students through independent studies, and support experiential learning through practicums, internships, and other off-campus opportunities that connect theory to practice.

Summary of Responsibilities

• Conduct assigned undergraduate and graduate courses and seminars.
• Plans, prepares, and follows an approved course of study with measurable objectives.
• Develops curriculum, independent study activities, and off-campus learning such as practicums and internships.
• Engages in scholarly activities and/or creative endeavors that contribute to the academic mission of the university.
• Serves on college, school, and university committees.
• Renders service to the community relevant to the appropriate academic specialty.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

Graduation with a doctorate from an accredited institution (ABDs will be considered) with a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A Ph.D from an AACSB-accredited business school is preferred.
• Experience in Professional Sales is preferred.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Knowledge

• Extensive knowledge of subject matter and course content of classes to be taught, instructional strategies, and techniques related to Marketing.
• Extensive knowledge of student management, motivation, and evaluation.
• Extensive knowledge of the evaluation of instruction, curriculum development, program development, and evaluation.
• Thorough knowledge of the appropriate field of study.

Skills

• Skills related to Marketing (with potential graduate course responsibilities).
• Skills in public speaking and report writing.
• Skills in curriculum development and assessment.

Abilities

• Ability to teach the following courses (if needed): Marketing Strategy, Marketing Management, Principles of Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Digital Marketing, Professional Sales, or other marketing courses.
• Ability to apply effective general principles to specific conditions.
• Ability to follow written and oral procedures and instructions.
• Ability to connect and collaborate with other faculty members
• Strong interpersonal skills
