
Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine (Clinical Skills) in the College of Veterinary Medicine, located at the Orange Park, Florida campus.
Position Summary
The Assistant Professor of Veterinary Medicine is a full-time faculty position with responsibilities in teaching, scholarly activity, and service, with a primary emphasis on clinical and surgical skills education. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering pre-clinical and live-animal surgical instruction and supporting the educational mission of the University, the College of Veterinary Medicine, and the Department.
Faculty members are expected to contribute to student learning, engage in scholarly activity appropriate to their discipline, and participate in service to the University, profession, and community.
Teach pre-clinical and live animal clinical and surgical skills courses
Contribute to curriculum delivery and assessment in veterinary clinical skills
Support student learning and professional development
Participate in scholarly activity consistent with university expectations
Engage in departmental, college, and university service activities
Support the mission and goals of LMU and the College of Veterinary Medicine
DVM or equivalent degree
Eligibility for licensure in the state of Florida
Advanced degree, additional training, and/or specialty board certification in a related field
Prior experience in an academic teaching environment
Veterinary clinical experience, particularly in clinical or surgical skills instruction
Academic rank will be determined based on qualifications and experience, in accordance with LMU policies administered by the Office of Academic Affairs.
