Job Description

Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs, this position provides co-leadership in enrollment management and all related functional areas of the College including Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, and Registrar. The Assistant Vice President will ensure that Baltimore City Community College meets its enrollment goals and serves as a key Student Affairs leader charged with delivering service excellence and actively contributing to institution-wide enrollment, retention, persistence and completion efforts.  

Preferred and Required Qualifications


  1. Master's Degree in College Student Personnel Administration, Educational Administration or related discipline required.
  2. Minimum of seven (7) years full-time, progressively responsible, professional experience in an enrollment management functional area.
  3. Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
  4. Demonstrated experience with working with diverse student populations is required. 
  5. Demonstrated ability to develop and use data-analytics and predictive modeling to increase enrollment.
  6. This position has personnel management responsibilities that include assisting with the training, development and supervision of professional staff and student staff workers. 
  7. Successful candidates will have significant experience working with engaging college students in a remote setting and building student life in an online environment. 
  8. Outstanding interpersonal and management skills.
  9. Demonstrated ability to cultivate positive relationships with students and student organizations.
  10. Demonstrated ability to coordinate programs with other college departments and to assess program effectiveness.
  11. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong computer skills.
  12. Ability to handle extremely sensitive and confidential matters discreetly.
  13. Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  14. Knowledge of budget preparation and management.
  15. Experience with current and emerging technology (hardware and software solutions) related to recruitment, admissions, and financial aid, including expertise with enrollment management systems and web-based recruitment efforts.
  16. Experience leading enrollment management teams with enterprise technology implementations
