Associate Chair of Clinical Education
The University of Texas at Arlington, College of Nursing and Health Innovation is excited to announce that we are searching for a dynamic leader to join the graduate nursing department as the Associate Chair of Clinical Education. The individual will report to the department chair and will be part of a dedicated leadership team focused on high-quality graduate nursing programs.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Supervision and oversight of the clinical placement, faculty, and placement process
- Supervision and oversight of the clinical coordination team and the clinical coordination process
- Supervision and oversight of the contracts team and the contract process
- Clinical placement and clinical clearance process monitoring and improvement
- Ensuring processes are aligned with accreditation standards
- Coordinating processes between the contracts team and the clinical coordination team
- Serving as a resource program director, clinical placement, faculty, and the clinical coordination team.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of clinical policies and procedures
- Monitoring and documenting BON rules and regulations as they relate to graduate nursing program operations
Preferred and Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate must have earned a doctorate, MSN, be a registered nurse, and possess leadership experience. Strongly preferred qualifications include academic leadership experience, Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure with 2 years of clinical experience, experience with clinical placements in a graduate nursing program, and experience with interpreting and applying BON rules and regulations.
