Assistant Professor, Tenure-Track Faculty Position in Computer Science
Syracuse University’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (http://eecs.syr.edu) in the College of Engineering and Computer Science (https://eng-cs.syr.edu) invites applicants for a tenure-track assistant professor. The successful applicant will join a department of 42 full-time faculty who are committed to innovative teaching, inclusive excellence, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The specific position targets the areas of real-time and embedded systems and low-power electronics for implantable and wearable devices, intelligent sensor systems, human-machine interface, and Cyber-physical Systems. This recruitment is part of an ambitious Invest Syracuse Cluster Hire Initiative in the broad area of Aging, Health, and Neuroscience. As an integral part of this investment, Syracuse University will recruit multiple candidates for this cluster. Faculty hired into these positions will build on our existing strengths in the focus area and will participate in an organized research cluster that spans multiple departments across Syracuse University.

Candidates must have earned a doctoral degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
The successful applicant will bring expertise to design real-time embedded sensor-based monitoring systems and low-powered wearable sensors that can operate longer without intervention. Candidates should be prepared to teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
