Job Duties:
The current position includes primary responsibilities for teaching online and hybrid for the School Psychology programs, with additional support of undergraduate majors and other School of Psychology needs. The position also includes responsibilities for field supervision, service, and scholarship. Opportunities for summer teaching, although not required, may be available.
1. Effectively teaching 36 credits per academic year, subject to School needs, including courses on the campus in Cheney, WA. Courses will be determined in consultation with the Chair and include teaching courses in the NASP accredited EdS program such as Psychoeducational Group Theory and Process; School Psychology Consultation; Intro to Social-Emotional Learning for Educational Equity; Family, School, and Community Collaboration; Practicum; and Internship, and/or other courses that fulfill the needs of the School and Program.2. Following additional responsibilities as defined in the faculty CBA:
3. Collecting, retaining, and disseminating course and program data for accrediting bodies and to maintain professional standards.
4. Collaborating with colleagues in utilization of creativity and best practice knowledge in curriculum development, classroom instruction, and student supervision.
5. Supervising students engaged in applied experiences such as research, practicum, portfolio, and internship.
6. Attending and participating in EdS School Psychology meetings; School of Psychology meetings; School, College, and University meetings and retreats; and graduation ceremonies, and program specific collaboration teams meetings as well as collaborating with colleagues to fulfill the missions of the School of Psychology.
7. Advising undergraduate and graduate students who are declared majors on program requirements, and University requirements and career opportunities.
8. Contributing to program, college, and university committees and workgroups and support NASP approval activities.
9. Participating in the leadership of local (e.g., PEAB), state (e.g., WSASP), and regional professional organizations.
10. Pursuing productive research, scholarship and/or creative activities, including professional activities leading to publication, performance, and/or formal presentation in the field.
