Job Description

The Health Services Administration program at Eastern Kentucky University seeks to fill a 9-month tenure-track faculty position to begin in August 2021. The Health Services Administration Program offers concentrations in Health Care Management (HCM) and Health Informatics and Information Management (HIIM). The HIIM concentration is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). Responsibilities may include teaching assigned courses and internships in the Health Services Administration program. Courses may be delivered in a traditional on-campus or an online format. As it pertains to instruction, the candidate will develop syllabi, projects, lectures, tests, and assessment instruments; instruct a diverse student population by integrating multiple strategies of instruction and interaction; and expand knowledge and competencies in the fields of health care management and health informatics and information management and the learning process. The candidates will also serve as a student academic advisor; actively engage in service to the program and department through participation on select committees, projects, or assignments; engage in university, community, and professional service activities; work collaboratively with other faculty and staff in fostering a community of learning and growth; engage in research and other scholarly activities; and carry out other duties as determined by the Chair.
