Assistant Professor of Psychology - Industrial/Organizational Psychology

Job Description

 

The Department of Psychology at Lamar University invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Industrial/Organizational Psychology.

 

Successful candidates will

·         Teach a variety of courses at the undergraduate- (e.g., general psychology, I/O psychology, introduction to statistics, research methods) and master's-level (e.g., organizational behavior, leadership, performance management, recruitment & selection),

·         Maintain an active program of research that (ideally) involves undergraduate and graduate students

·         Mentor undergraduate and graduate student research,

·         Serve on graduate student thesis committees and

  1. ·         Actively engage in service to the department, college, and university.

Preferred and Required Qualifications

This position requires a minimum of a PhD in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. ABD applicants will be considered; however, the applicant must have earned their doctorate prior to August 2026.
