Xavier University of Louisiana’s University Library seeks a dynamic, engaging, collaborative, and user-oriented professional for the Data Services Librarian position. Reporting to the Head of Research and Technology, the Data Services Librarian will help develop, lead, and coordinate a robust suite of data services that serve to bolster student and faculty research through the discovery, curation, management, analysis, preservation, and visualization of data to meet curricular and research needs on campus. The successful candidate will also be responsible for coordinating, implementing, assessing, providing outreach for, and enhancing the Library Programs. The Data Services Librarian will actively collaborate with library colleagues to promote and integrate data services and data literacy into library instruction across multiple disciplines. The Data Services Librarian will develop and provide services that support faculty, researchers, and students in the discovery, use, preservation, and visualization of data and provide supervision and management of the Data Visualization Lab. The Data Services Librarian will coordinate and teach instruction sessions and programming related to research data management and provide consultations for researchers in collaboration with subject librarians.
