Position Description:
Provides leadership to and manages the programs, services, and facilities of the Housing and Dining system; oversees all aspects of the operation and ongoing development of the Housing and Dining systems that includes residence halls, residence life/education programs, University apartments, campus dining, retail, and catering services, and residence-based educational support programs; aligns programs, services, and operations of the department to contribute meaningfully to the achievement of student success and institutional strategic priorities; collaborates with other units on campus and represents the housing and dining system to the Board of Regents, State of Iowa as needed; provides direct supervision to the Director of Dining, Director of Residence Life and Director of Housing and Dining Facilities; and serves as a member of the Senior Vice President's leadership team.
Master’s degree in student personnel, higher education administration, business or related field required.
At least seven years of progressively significant supervisory experience in college/university housing or dining required. Evidence of strong leadership, organizational, decision making, financial management, personnel management, and strategy development skills as well as the ability to operate autonomously, maintain effective interpersonal relationships with diverse populations, and effectively communicate with others also required. On-call, evening, weekend, and holiday work necessary.
