Xavier University of Louisiana is seeking to hire a Director of Student Academic Success.
The Director of Student Academic Success Office is responsible for designing, implementing, evaluating and improving innovative, integrated and comprehensive student success models, with an emphasis on advising and supporting students who are exploratory, academically high-risk, athletes, and those on academic probation. The Director is charged with integration, coordination and fostering of outcomes-driven efforts in academic support for student success (e.g., retention, persistence and graduation).
The Director will serve as a member of the Assistant Provost for Student Success leadership team, providing vision and innovative leadership centered around student access and student success. The Director will be responsible for working with faculty, academic departments and other university offices to implement programs that will improve student retention, success and graduation rates. Xavier University of Louisiana is particularly interested in candidates who have experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and who have demonstrated commitment to improving access to higher education for disadvantaged students.
