Xavier University of Louisiana is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Director of Technical and Fiscal Operations for Financial Aid. This position will coordinate fiscal operations of the financial aid office with other pertinent University offices i.e., Office of Student Accounts, fiscal services, as well as relevant outside agencies, i.e., Department of Education, LOSFA, ELM, SALLIEMAE, Global, etc.
Responsible for all Technical testing as it relates to the operations of the Financial Aid office. Example: New Year Software, patches.
Responsible for managing the Federal Direct Loan, Pell Grant and TEACH Grant programs. Transmission of the origination and disbursement records to the Department of Education through the Common Origination and Disbursement (COD), resolving any discrepancies and accountable for the reconciliation and final closeout of each program.
Responsible for reconciliation of all Federal Title IV programs, such as Pell Grant, federal Work-Study, Perkins, and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG). Collect data from all pertinent offices involved in reporting data on the FISAP, i.e., Fiscal services, Bursar, Office of the Registrar and running the Banner FISAP process in Financial Aid module to get the detailed financial aid data.
Responsible for processing the financial aid portion of all Federal Title IV refunds to ensure the funds are being returned in a timely fashion in compliance with federal regulations.
Work with the Database manager of Enrollment Management as it pertains to the Financial Aid office. Example: Tickets, projects
Other related duties as assigned by the Director or Associate Director.
