The Division of Science, Mathematics, and Technology at Governors State University invites applications for a full time, tenure-track faculty appointment in Mathematics at the assistant professor level beginning in August 2021. We seek candidates with outstanding teaching skills, a professional educator license, experience with secondary education programs and accreditation, evidence of a potential for or a distinguished record of scholarship, as well as community service via projects, committee and/or leadership roles. Duties of the successful applicant will include teaching and oversight of the secondary mathematics education program, including student teacher oversight and responsibility for accreditation documents; teaching courses in the BS and MA programs in mathematics; and research in mathematics education. Governors State University is the only regional public comprehensive university in Chicago’s south suburban area, serving more than 5,500 students annually.
