GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for planning and delivery of student activities that provide an effective first-year experience. Provides holistic programming focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Plans and maintains Peer Leadership Seminar. Plans and executes new student orientation. Provides oversight to student organizations. Reports to Student Engagement Coordinator and exercises no supervision.Note: This is a security sensitive position and an appropriate background investigation will be made on applicants being strongly considered for this position.
Sedentary: Sedentary-Desk work; occasional field trips e.g. for college or program activities. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office setting. At least minimal environmental controls are in place to assure health and comfort.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: More than one year of experience in higher education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Experience: More than one year of experience at a two-year college.
Special: Preference will be given to qualified applicants that are fluent in conversational Spanish, and can also demonstrate multicultural awareness.
