Job Description

Teacher of Psychology – Part-time
(Maternity cover as of March 2021)

10 periods - In addition, we are currently advertising the position of a Teacher of Science. The two positions could be combined, if we find a candidate with all competencies. The total of periods would then be 21. 

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching IBO Diploma Psychology

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Candidate requirements:

  • Appropriate degree in Psychology and teaching qualification
  • Experience in teaching Psychology for IB Diploma Programme
  • Strong knowledge and experience with incorporating latest technology into teaching 
  • Willingness to contribute to the enrichment of activities such as supervision of extended essays 
  • English mother tongue and very good knowledge in French is an advantage
  • Excellent classroom management and organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm and creativity with a passion for teaching, learning and a drive to achieve the highest possible standards for all students
  • A caring, sensitive attitude towards students, an outstanding and inspirational teacher
  • Excellent communication skills with colleagues and parents
  • Experience and interest in developing psychology curriculum
  • A keen interest in the pastoral care of students and their wellbeing
