The Department of Agriculture at Southeast Missouri State University is seeking an outstanding educator for a Regular Non-Tenure Track (RNTT) position in horticulture. The successful candidate will teach courses primarily in horticulture.

The candidate should be able to collaborate with area stakeholders to address knowledge gaps and needs for the community and build a reputable horticultural program.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Core teaching responsibilities are to teach courses in horticulture.
  • Participate in curriculum development.
  • Advise and mentor students in relation to their academic progress.
  • Participate in service activities including active involvement in recruitment and retention activities.
  • Serve on departmental, college, and university committees as appropriate.



Required Qualifications


  • Earned MS in Horticulture or directly related field (Degree must be from a regionally accredited or internationally accredited/government certified university)
  • Possess theoretical knowledge and practical experience in horticulture
  • Demonstrated commitment to student growth and achievement
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver highly effective teaching in horticulture
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate experiential learning activities
  • Demonstrated commitment to collegiality when interacting with others within the University community.
  • Evidence of effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
