Student Success and Fieldwork Operations Coordinator

Job Description Summary:
The LaFetra College of Education at the University of La Verne is seeking a detail-oriented and student-centered Student Success & Fieldwork Operations Coordinator. This role supports the implementation of our Integrated Advising Model by coordinating student advising services, programming, and communications in partnership with faculty and staff. The coordinator also manages clinical practice logistics, fieldwork placements, and maintains relationships with district partners to ensure high-quality experiences for candidates. The ideal candidate is highly organized, collaborative, and passionate about supporting diverse learners on their pathway to becoming educators. This position plays a vital role in aligning advising, fieldwork, and student success efforts across the college.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least two years of the following:
  • Critical thinking skills, logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing support to students, faculty, and staff in a multitasking capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2 years of experience in higher education, student services, academic advising, or a related administrative role.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, timelines, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience managing digital communications (e.g., newsletters, email templates, websites).
  • Proficiency with office software and scheduling systems



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience coordinating advising or student success programs in a college or university setting.
  • Familiarity with teacher preparation programs, credentialing pathways, or clinical/fieldwork coordination.
  • Experience working with P-12 schools, district partners, or maintaining MOUs and partnership documentation.
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards (e.g., WASC, CTC) and compliance documentation.
  • Ability to interpret data and contribute to program assessment or continuous improvement efforts.



Specific Duties:
Duty: Integrated Advising Model Coordination & Student Success Communications:

  • Coordinate daily operations of the Integrated Advising Model, including appointment scheduling, drop-in rotations, and student inquiry triage.
  • Plan and implement student-facing events such as orientations, credential workshops, and information sessions.
  • Manage communications across platforms, including newsletters, resource guides, email templates, and website updates.




Percentage of Time: 40%
Duty: Fieldwork Operations, Partnerships, & Communications

  • Manage logistics for clinical practice placements, including student teaching and internships, with attention to calendars and coordination.
  • Track and organize documentation of fieldwork hours, evaluations, and supervisor assignments.
  • Support development, renewal, and tracking of MOUs with school partners, and monitor compliance with WASC/CTC accreditation standards.




Percentage of Time: 40%

  • Program Support Provide administrative and operational support for student success initiatives, pilot programs, and events.
  • Assist with data collection, documentation, and reporting for grant-funded or externally evaluated projects.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, trainings, and accreditation visits.




Percentage of Time: 15%
Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range
Maximum: $29.32
Minimum: $21.71
