Coordinator, Student Services

Summary:

Assist with the coordination of all functions within the Office of Student Services, including student orientations, student organizations, and student programming; provide assistance for all University-wide initiatives related to student leadership development, co-curricular, and service; address student concerns and co-curricular needs; contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the office.


Principal Functional Responsibilities:

Student Organization Management: Advise student organizations through registration/re-registration processes, event planning logistics, and budget management. Assist with the administrative oversight of the student organization management software system.
Event Planning: Support event planning initiatives for university-wide sponsored events, college-specific events, student activities, and service days. Assist with planning and executing online orientation (onboarding) and in-person orientation. Plan for new and annual office events.
Budget Oversight: Manage student organization budgets, including processing all student reimbursement forms, deposits, and check requests.
 
Communication: Assist with identifying and responding to student concerns in a timely fashion; manage the student event listservs, approve and monitor event requests related to student organizations and student events; effectively contribute to the Exceptional Student Experience.
Miscellaneous Duties: Represent the Assistant Director as requested; perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of college coursework or associate’s degree
  • Minimum of 1 year of related work experience in event planning and/or student activities


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Higher education experience
  • Proficiency in student organization management software


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment.
