Responsibilities include regular site visits, quarterly board meetings, monthly director meetings, and coordinating center participation in programs like MEDCAMP.
Financial and Regulatory Management: Manage federal and state funding across the Program Office and four AHEC centers, overseeing budgets, ensuring 1:1 non-federal match compliance, processing reimbursement requests, and maintaining regulatory standards. The Director also secures funding for initiatives such as MEDCAMP through state dollars and tuition revenue.
Institutional and Community Engagement: Build partnerships within NEOMED and the broader community to expand pipeline initiatives, support service-based career pathways, and place students in rural and underserved areas. Additionally, the Director contributes to NEOMED’s curriculum, represents AHEC programs at key meetings, and recruits volunteer faculty to enhance program activities.
