The Career Education Coordinator for Exploring Initiatives is a year-round, full-time position housed in the Career Center in the Division of Student Affairs at Colorado State University. This role coordinates the center’s efforts to support students who are exploring majors and career pathways, providing individualized and group career advising, and creating and delivering curriculum and programs to support the exploring student experience. By partnering with campus colleagues and creating strategic approaches to engage with students early in their college careers, this position plays a key role in supporting students as they build experiences and make meaningful connections. The position collaborates with partners to blur the lines between academic and career advising as it relates to career goals and career opportunities. Operating from the Career Center’s equity framework, the Career Education Coordinator role will serve to improve student success in the form of persistence and graduation rates and increase students’ long-term social mobility.
