University Recreation (UREC) inspires, educates, and empowers the Seattle University community to live happier and healthier lives. University Recreation (UREC) includes the following program and operational areas: Aquatics, Competitive Sports (intramural sports and sport clubs), Esports, Facilities, Fitness, Marketing, and Outdoor Recreation.

PURPOSE
The Assistant Director of University Recreation, Aquatics & Facility Operations is a creative, entrepreneurial, and agile leader who provides management and support for aquatics programs, pool rental agreements, pool maintenance, and facility operations. The Assistant Director leads a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of the Seattle University community, including students, staff, faculty, alumni, and external user groups. The Assistant Director must have a passion for engaging students in meaningful learning outside of the classroom while providing a suite of high-quality programs and services that support the health and wellness of the Seattle University community. This position is also a member of the University Recreation leadership team and supports the department and university through departmental collaboration, representation on committees, working groups, task forces, and other roles outside of the normal day-to-day functions as needed.

Compensation at a Glance
Salary Range: $30 - $32 per hour
Seattle University has provided a compensation range that represents its good faith estimate of what the University may pay for the position at the time of posting. The salary offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal salary equity considerations, and available market information, and not based on a candidate's gender or any other protected status.
Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck. Seattle University provides generous leave, health plans, and retirement contributions that add to your total compensation package.
