The College of DuPage is a comprehensive community college located 27 miles west of downtown Chicago, vitally connected to our local area for over 50 years. We prepare students for a lifelong passion for learning on our 273-acre campus which is home to nine associate degrees and a wide variety of professional and technical certificates. Many of these credentials prepare students to seamlessly articulate into the baccalaureate programs of our higher education partner institutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Instructors will provide skills-based training and experiences in a traditional or non-traditional classroom setting and/or lab environment. The instruction provided will be specific to participants enrolled in the Climate Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) program seeking to enter careers in the expanding Clean Energy Industry.
The qualified trainer will participate in training needs assessment using various techniques, conduct interactive and engaging training (at multiple sites around the region) for cohorts or participants using alternative and non-traditional methodologies appropriate and effective for working with adult learners, working with the Instruction and Assessment Coordinator to prepare and/or select education materials, and assist with the development and/or evaluation of new curricula and program designs.
Trainers will be responsive to input from local employers to address specific professional development needs on behalf of their workforce; customized solutions will be designed and delivered in a variety of modalities to best serve participants. The demand for tailored curriculum fluctuates; therefore, the need for a specific skillset may not be immediate.

HVAC
Weatherization / Energy Auditing
Electrical
Electric Motor Repair
Electric Vehicle Maintenance
EV Automotive Service Technician
EV Charging Station Installation and Maintenance
Electric Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicle Assembly
