Purpose:


The purpose of the Adjunct for Voice is to enhance the Division of Music by providing private lessons or classes in Voice.


Essential Functions:


• Provide private lessons or classes in content specialty to both students pursuing a degree in music, those pursuing a minor in music, as well as students taking lessons or classes as an elective or secondary performance area.
• Current needs include Voice
• Other instruments may be needed


Other Duties:


• May have the opportunity to teach other classes in content area

 

Preferred and Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Commitment to the vision and mission of Oklahoma Baptist University
• Ability to teach private lessons in content area 
• Completed Master’s degree
• Teaching experience in appropriate content area 
• Ability to travel to OBU

Preferred Requirements:
• Doctorate in Music Arts in instrument
• Successful teaching as a music faculty member at an accredited undergraduate institution and         significant experience as a performer
