The Center for Immunity and Inflammation (CII) is part of the Institute for Infectious and Inflammatory Diseases (i3D), a Chancellor-Level institute at Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences, New Jersey Medical School, located in Newark, NJ.
The CII and the i3D invites applications for full time, tenure-track appointments, all ranks. We are currently recruiting candidates with expertise in immunology, infectious disease and inflammation. The positions will be supported by a competitive start up package with exceptional candidates being considered for further support as Chancellor Scholars.
Candidate Requirements: Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree, post-doctoral experience, excellent communication skills and a record of productivity in immunology. Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should have a substantial trajectory toward developing a rigorous, externally-funded immunology research program. Candidates at the Professor and Associate Professor level should have a national scientific reputation, current research funding and a history of mentorship and leadership.

The Center for Immunity and Inflammation (CII) at Rutgers Health New Jersey Medical School Cancer Center is a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative center with laboratories dedicated to researching allergies; chronic autoimmune diseases like Crohn's disease, diabetes and lupus; fungal, protozoan, bacterial, viral, and helminth pathogens; pain management, sepsis, toxoplasmosis, malaria, Vitamin D, and cancer. Research focuses on investigation of immunity in the context of these infectious and noninfectious diseases.
