Curriculum Coordinator - Registrar
Hiring Department
The University of Texas Permian Basin's Registrar's Office welcomes applications for the position of Curriculum Coordinator
Salary Range
$50,000.00 depending on qualifications
Essential Functions
The curriculum coordinator will perform a variety of highly responsible, complex, and sensitive administrative and curriculum related support duties. The appointee will ensure faculty has the resources and support needed in understanding Watermark Curriculum Management system. They will coordinate and host college level and one-on-one training, in addition to providing curriculum related reports and activities.
1. Support and manage Watermark Curriculum Management system; ensure entries are complete, correct, and up to date
2. Manage the undergraduate and graduate catalog update, review, approval and publish process for each academic year through Watermark
3. Develops, maintains, and updates a variety of reports, lists, and databases related to curriculum and programs as directed
4. Coordinates the approved curriculum development and modification process which includes updating and maintaining curriculum in Watermark; ensures curriculum is compliant with established guidelines
5. Serves as an informational resource, responding to requests, inquiries, and questions from administrators, faculty, staff, and students
Develop instructional training material to onboard faculty with Watermark Curriculum Management
7. Provides project management and facilitation for designated curriculum development projects involving faculty, management, and external partners. Supports University initiatives related to new program development and program alignment with student success initiatives.
8. Serves as a liaison to internal departments regarding curriculum development and requirements including serving on work groups and task forces.
9. Prepares and/or oversees preparation of internal and externally mandated curriculum-related administrative reports
10. Coordinates the Notice of Intent process for new degree and certificate proposals; drafts Summaries of Prospective Program in Development for review by Academic Affairs; and tracks progress of documents through the review stages.
11. Compiles, analyzes, and summarizes data for special projects, programs and reports
12. Provides curriculum proposal process expertise to internal stakeholders including, but not limited to serving on campus and faculty senate committees and conducting workshops.
13. Review change proposals revising program requirements triggered by the switch to the new General Education curriculum; document and explain findings to other Curriculum Coordinators; may contact proposal originators and explain issues.
14. Attend Graduate Council, General Education Oversight Committee (GEOC), and University Curriculum Committee meetings
15. Collaborate with the Registrar's Office, Graduate Studies, UCC, General Education Committee to maintain and manage all curriculum related matters.
16. Other duties as assigned by the Provost
Required Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree
2. Minimum of two (5) years of experience in higher education
Preferred Qualifications
1. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite
2. Advanced knowledge of large database systems (specifically PeopleSoft, OnBase, and Watermark.)
3. Knowledge of current technological trends in field.
2. Effective oral and written communication skills
3. Experience writing proposals

4. Employees must be able and willing to travel and perform duties away from campus as necessary and must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver's license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver's record.
5. Employment is contingent upon a successful background check.

Schedule
Generally, the normal work hours for the university are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 - 5:30 pm; Friday, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm with a one-hour lunch. The individual holding this position may need to be available early morning, evening, and on weekends to meet the needs of the department. Hours worked may differ with some departments.
Standard Working Conditions
1. Able to lift various materials up to 25 pounds on an occasional basis.
2. Able to bend, crouch, and reach continuously.
3. Physically able remain seated, frequently to continuously.
4. Able to remain standing up to 15% of the time.
5. Possesses dexterity abilities required to perform job duties including extensive keyboard work, operating office equipment, performing filing, and other job-related responsibilities that include extensive wrist and hand movement.
6. Standard working conditions may differ depending on department and occupation

About the Basin
A “basin” is a simple geological term for a dip or depression in the earth’s surface—usually caused by erosion aboveground and earthquakes deep underneath.
Stretching from eastern New Mexico and covering most of West Texas (Lubbock to the north, the Rio Grande Valley to the south), the Permian Basin is actually a collection of smaller basins. But in all, the Permian Basin covers 75,000 square miles—making it one of the larger basins in North America.
But that’s geology. From the layperson’s perspective, the Permian Basin is actually a stunning stretch of American land with a unique beauty all its own. You feel like you can actually see the earth meet the sky in the distance.
