Summary of Position: | Adjunct faculty may teach one course, or a variety of courses. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended or online in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours and use of current technology are expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes based on need. | |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Additional education and work in the field of HVACR will be considered of value. | |
Duties/Responsibilities: | Meet established course outcomes. Plan, deliver and grade all course content and student work for assigned courses. Conduct all classes, labs or other assignments as directed in a professional manner. Position may entail full-time or part-time teaching loads and related activities based upon program need. Attendance at organizational meetings of the program, school or college is highly recommended. Close consultation with program faculty, as well as training via university-provided programs (where appropriate). Approved adjuncts who have not received appointment will be asked to provide a minimum of one lecture or lab delivery per academic year as a demonstration of their interest and an opportunity for adjunct faculty development preparation. Maintain a minimum of one hour per week per course section for office hours to meet with students outside of class or lecture at a time convenient to the students. |
