Summary of Position: | Ferris State University is searching for a LPN or RN to oversee and manage the COVID Case Management in conjunction with Birkam Health Center, reporting to the Director of Health Services. This role will involve managing and communicating with students identified as COVID positive or as a contact to a positive case. This role will be administrative and involve oversight of student volunteers/employees. Work hours would be Evenings/Weekends: Monday, Thursday, Friday 12:00pm-8:00pm, Saturday and Sunday 8:00am-12:00pm. | |

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Electronic medical records experience. | |
Duties/Responsibilities: | Perform research and notification of positive cases Initial outreach and health investigation with positive case - advise to isolate. Contact tracing of positive cases Initial outreach with contacts - advise to quarantine. Document in EMR to share process with student volunteer contact tracers. Oversee the student volunteer contact tracers and be available for questions that need escalation due to medical or research need. Release students verbally from isolation/quarantine. Provide documentation to student of release. Writing health related protocols and documents. Provide education to students, faculty and staff regarding COVID protocols. Promote professionalism, confidentiality, cooperation and good working relationships with faculty, staff and students. |

Skills and Abilities: | Ability to work flexible shifts. Ability to communicate effectively and possess interpersonal skills Possess time management skills. Able to work with little oversight. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office. |
