Position Summary:
The University of Idaho - College Art and Architecture (CAA) and the Virtual Technology and Design (VTD) program seek a non-tenure track clinical assistant professor who can utilize advanced technologies in combination with the design process to create learning environments that support undergraduate foundational-design curricula. The candidate will be proficient in many areas of the production of 2D and 3D computer graphics with extensive experience using current and emerging technologies used to produce virtual environments. Candidates should have a strong understanding of visual storytelling using technologies that support the entertainment, visualization and simulation industries while also being comfortable exploring new trans-disciplinary approaches that impact digitally integrated design processes.Candidates will be able to significantly contribute to the VTD program in one of the following four areas:
Teaching foundational design courses about production, design experience and integration of technology in a NASAD-accredited Virtual Technology and Design Program.
