General Description of the Position
The Program Coordinator/Data manager will work closely with principle investigators and other team members on a community-based research project related to COVID-19 incidence and testing.  This person will be responsible for scheduling and monitoring of student workers, project equipment and resources, database creation and maintenance, quality control for participant data, project tracking, and other project-related activities.

Essential Functions
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:

  1. Works under the supervision of principal investigators to carry out the research project.
  2. Places orders and tracks inventory of supplies and mobile devices for the project.
  3. Collaborates on the implementation of project plan and provides overall project coordination, including tracking progress, scheduling and supervision of student workers, database maintenance, and data quality control.
  4. Securely manages and maintains sensitive participant data.
  5. Securely manages and tracks gift card inventory for subject compensation
  6. Assists with data reports and visualization.
  7. Other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The individual in this job must possess these skills and abilities or be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation using some other combination of skills and abilities:

  1. Proficiency in EXCEL and other Microsoft software is required.
  2. Proficiency in STATA, SAS, or SQL is preferred.
  3. Excellent communication skills.
  4. Self-motivated, organized, detail oriented, efficient, responsible team player.
  5. Ability to work with diverse teams.
  6. Maintains high ethical standards

Qualification Standards

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, mathematics, statistics, social science, or related field is required.  Minimum  of one year of relevant experience.

Performance Standards:
The criteria for evaluation in this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Persistence and creative effort in working with PIs and student staff to implement project.
  2. Effective management of data collection and data quality.
  3. Effective supervision of student employees.
  4. Careful maintenance of project data security and confidentiality
  5. Careful tracking and monitoring of project resources including gift cards for paying participants.
