The ideal candidate for the Research and Evidence Synthesis Librarian position at the University of Pennsylvania's Dental Medicine Library needs a strong grasp of expert searching and systematic reviews. They should have experience providing training to researchers and students, participating in review teams and have a track record of scholarly publications.

Job Responsibilities

• Research, instruction, and consultation services to Penn Dental Medicine researchers: This position requires an individual to have and maintain a comprehensive knowledge of the principles and practices of evidence synthesis, expert searching, and systematic reviews.
• Support Penn Dental Medicine's Cochrane Oral Health Collaborating Center: They should be able to create training for evidence synthesis.
• Creation and maintenance of research and instructional materials such as LibGuides and tutorials pertaining to systematic reviews.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of principles and practices of evidence synthesis, expert searching and reviews (all types).
• Participation on committees and cross-divisional teams within the libraries.

Qualifications

• Master of Science or Master of Arts, and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of review methodology and be an expert searcher.
