Registrar Specialist

Summary:

Provides customer service and task management to university constituents, including students, faculty, staff, and administration. Performs routine and project-based tasks throughout the student life cycle, from application to alumni degree verifications. Manages Student Information System data entry, academic record oversight, and supports curriculum changes in Ellucian’s Banner.


Principal Functional Responsibilities:

Data Management: Manages curriculum setup and student registration, ensuring data integrity and providing improvement recommendations.

Project Management: Oversees various projects throughout the academic year; first level review degree audits, LMS Orientation tasks assigned to new and continuing students, Compass review and updates, data governance taskforce work, accreditation taskforce work.

Patron Support: Provides front-line customer service and collaborates for efficient service.

Communications: Serves as a communication reference, responding to the registrar team group email inquiries and assisting with updating publications.

Student Records: Assists with student record management, ensuring compliance with regulations.

Administrative Support: Provide administrative and project support to the office; serve as point of contact and liaison between the office and internal and external and outside constituencies relative to activities and needs of the office, resolution of issues, projects and other administrative functions.

Miscellaneous Duties: Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience
  • Customer service experience
  • Minimum of two years administrative experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in a higher education office, registration, curriculum management or scheduling experience


Physical Requirements:

Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and other office equipment.
