Job Summary

The Tutoring Services Coordinator is a proactive and innovative professional with a passion for education and a dedication to improving student academic performance through tutoring programs and services. This role requires a highly collaborative individual who will engage closely with university community members across various campuses to foster a unified and effective institution-wide tutoring approach. Charged with overseeing the Academic Success Center's Tutoring Services for the Armstrong, Liberty, and Online locations, the Coordinator is responsible for the efficient organization and oversight of these services, aiming to enrich the educational journey of students through focused support and mentorship. The Tutoring Services Coordinator consistently exhibits service, collaboration, and excellence as championed by the Division of Enrollment, Marketing and Student Success.

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day administration, development, coordination, and delivery of ASC Tutoring Services across the institution in coordination with the Statesboro campus Tutoring Services Coordinator
  • Coordinates the delivery and continuous development of tutoring training and development for all peer tutors and graduate assistants
  • Leads ongoing assessment initiatives for all ASC Tutoring Services, including the development and administration of assessment plans
  • Assists the Statesboro Coordinator with outreach and marketing for all ASC Tutoring Services to the campus community
  • Collaborates with academic departments and units across campus; maintains liaison relationships
  • Collaborates as a member of the Academic Success Center team in the delivery of academic support programming
  • Provides support in representing the department at university events, including but not limited to orientation, open house, department and university committees
  • Directly supervises graduate assistants and student workers on the Armstrong campus, including hiring, training, development, and evaluation



Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Master's Degree


Required Experience

  • One (1) or more years of related work experience



Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Experience

  • Three (3) or more years of experience working with students in academic support
  • Experience working in higher education
  • Experience working in Tutoring Services program



Proposed Salary

$50,173 - $53,456

This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
