DEPARTMENT: Physician Assistant Studies Program
FLSA Status: Exempt (salaried)
Date Job is available: Ongoing
Reports To: Interim Program Director/Program Director
Job Status: Adjunct (Part Time)
- Provide exemplary instruction in the didactic, simulation lab and clinical areas of teaching
- Participate in mentoring and role modeling for PA students
- Collaborate with Clinical Coordinator for appropriate and optimal student placement
- Partner with Clinical Simulation Manager to develop, implement, and evaluate clinical scenarios within the simulation laboratory environment to optimize student learning outcomes
- Commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive community for students and colleagues
- Illinois license as Physician Assistant
- Master's Degree required; Doctoral degree preferred
- Two years of clinical medical experience required
- Evidence of undergraduate teaching excellence preferred
- Preferred clinical practice experience in the following, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, Women's Health, Behavioral Health, and Surgery preferred.
