Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities of this position involve performing specific disability-related tasks as assigned by CDHP- AARC. Tasks typically involve assisting with the physical manipulation of lab materials, adjusting/moving lab equipment, and taking dictation for lab recording of data and completion of lab worksheets, taking dictation for tests/exams, describing visual information, and read printed academic materials. All tasks are performed during the assigned schedule. The Auxiliary Assistant is expected to understand information and concepts related to the work as assigned.



Key Responsibilities

LAB ASSISTANCE 
Follow all lab safety procedures. Physical manipulation of lab materials as described by student. Adjusting/moving of lab equipment as described by student. Taking dictation for lab recording of data and completion of worksheets during lab.



Key Responsibilities

TEST TAKING ASSISTANCE 
Taking dictation/recording answers for quizzes/tests/examinations. Administer (proctor) student exams. Assist with preparation of the testing area, checking in students for exams, resolve questions and collect exam materials at end of exam to provide to proctor /coordinator



Key Responsibilities

IN-CLASS ASSISTANCE 
Describing visual information. Assisting with in-class assignments.

READING ASSISTANCE 
Reading aloud academically required materials.
