Salary Range: $42,000-$50,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.

Hours: up to 40 hours per week, exempt.

Essential Functions

Job Summary

 



The Corporate and Foundation Engagement Coordinator is an integral member of the UTSA Corporate and Foundation Engagement (CFE) team. The CFE Coordinator oversees all administrative processes to manage corporate and foundation relationships. Additionally, this position coordinates CFE collaboration across Advancement and Alumni Engagement departments and across the university.

 



Core Responsibilities

 

 

  1. Assists the Corporate and Foundation Engagement team with the submission of funding proposals and paperwork, including necessary communication with The University of Texas Foundation and The UTSA Alumni Association.

     

  2. Tracks all corporate and foundation activity and progress toward annual goals in the appropriate database(s).

     

  3. Maintains ongoing calendar of project-related meetings, reporting, and application deadlines.

     

  4. Collaborates with the Prospect Management & Research team to identify potential prospects, corporations, and foundations.

     

  5. Works closely with Gift Services on incoming gift processes.

     

  6. Provides project management and general administrative support, including but not limited to organizing and overseeing special projects; coordinating meetings, including overall logistics, scheduling, drafting agendas, providing support materials, and following up on action items and deadlines; entering donor meeting/communication reports into a database; and maintaining calendars and contacts.

     

  7. Writes, proofreads, edits, and sends correspondence, including but not limited to Fund agreements, addendums, donor letters, and gift proposals.

     

  8. Coordinates collaborative partnership efforts with Offices of Research, Sponsored Program Administration, Career Services, and other relevant divisions as needed.

     

  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

     


Required Qualifications

 

 

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.

     

  • Three (3) years of similar experience in a development, or grants/contract role.

     

  • Familiarity with cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship process for major gifts.

     

  • Proven skills in project management, and meeting deadlines, detail-oriented, accurate, timely, and efficient, with strong organizational skills.

     

  • Familiarity with the full range of activities required to prepare, submit, and manage grant proposals, budgets, and reports to foundations and corporations.

     

  • Proven skills in project management, meeting deadlines, accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency; strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

     

  • Ability to analyze and edit complex information and synthesize it into readable and persuasive written material.

     

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills.

     

  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

     

  • Demonstrated knowledge of funding resources.

Working Environment:

This position will require working both remotely in Texas and on campus (approximately five or more days on campus per month). Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility. Applicants must be adaptable and open to working in both environments.
