The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Key Responsibilities

Provide wellness and preventive medicine services in a caring and compassionate environment for a diverse population of animals and animal owners.



Key Responsibilities

Perform high volume, high quality, spay/neuter surgeries on pediatric to geriatric patients.



Key Responsibilities

Manage and supervise a staff of veterinarians, veterinary technicians, veterinary assistants, and office staff.



Key Responsibilities

Liaise with city Animal Services personnel in regards to the health and welfare of animals residing in shelter facilities.



Key Responsibilities

Engage the larger animal shelter, rescue, and welfare communities to improve the lives on animals through innovative programs and educational opportunities.



Key Responsibilities

Create and maintain a safe and effective learning environment for student learning.



Key Responsibilities

Design and supervise student clinical training experiences in a high paced clinical environment.



Key Responsibilities

Participate, as appropriate, in the delivery of the DVM curriculum.



Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of graduate training programs in shelter medicine.



Key Responsibilities

Design client and community education programs focusing on preventive medicine, the human-animal bond, pet overpopulation, and other topics designed to sustain healthy pets in homes and out of the shelter system.
