Job Description

 

An Associate Research Scientist position is available in the Juchem laboratory at Columbia University. The Juchem laboratory pursues MR engineering in the fields of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), spectroscopy (MRS) and spectroscopic imaging (MRSI) to advance their clinical potential for the study of neurodegenerative diseases. Preferred and Required Qualifications

Minimum Degree Required:

Candidates must have a PhD to apply

Minimum Qualifications:

  • MR spectroscopy (theoretical, experimental, QA, data processing and quantification)
    Quantum mechanical density matrix simulation of modern MRI and MRS sequences.
  • MR sequence programming on General Electric platforms.
  • Scientific computing (MATLAB, C/C++, python, etc.) and Linux-based command line operations.
  • Excellent teamwork, time management, organizational and communication skills
